I was plannin' to build a gazebo at
the end of our dock
on our private lake but I thought, "what the heck! I might just as
well just build a gazebo with floats on it and then we can
take it out to the middle and fish in the deep end and get the
really big ones!"
My son and I worked on it together and
here it is! It has 15,000 pound capacity. The deck is 18 x 18
ft
square with 12 plastic foam filled dock floats that measure 4 x
4 ft by 18
inches high and the gazebo is 10 ft hexagon with a built-in
4' square table inside. On one end is a double sink and on the
other is a Lowrance Fish-Finder with depth sounding sonar's and
a temp gauge. I put my trolling motor underneath with a wireless remote
control so we can be fishing outside and go anywhere on the
lake that we want. I have 2 electric winches with 40 lb. anchors. I have also built in a water pump so
we can clean the fish right on the spot and a gas grill on the
back so we can cook and eat lunch or supper right there. My family and I love it and we spend lots of time
together!
Now for my next project: A
temperature-controlled deer stand with a refrigerator,
recliner, satellite dish and big screen tv! |
